More workers and international graduates have been invited by British Columbia in its latest draws on held on November 8th and November 15th. The draws closed at low points thresholds.
A total of 379 candidates have been invited by way of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) and were sent an Invitation to Apply on these occasions for a provincial nomination.
Many of the categories of the BC PNP are managed through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of BC. Candidates who are eligible to apply through the SIRS, are required to register first through an account.
Once they are registered they are given a score depending on the skills sets of the individual. The government of British Columbia carry out draws and pick up those candidates who have the highest score.
It should be noted here that all the categories managed in BC PNP under the SIRS makes it mandatory for a candidates to have a job offer from an employer in British Columbia.
The invitation to apply that is given by BC PNP is different from the ITA that is given by the Express Entry draw from the federal government.
Candidates who receive invitation through the BC PNP Skills Immigration sub-categories will get their applications for PR processed outside the Express Entry system.
The draw that was conducted on November 15th invited candidates through the BC Tech pilot program that was recently created. It was not disclosed by BC as to how many ITA were issued in this tech-only draw.
