New Act to Now Crack Down ‘Ghost Immigration Consultants’ in Canada
Posted- 28 December 2010
In an effort to crack down on the ‘fraud immigration consultants‘, the Canadian government has put in place a new legislation. This new act would aim at cracking down the ‘Ghost Immigration Consultants’ and would deem all the activities of such consultants as illegal.
Canada is one the favored destinations for immigration and thus several incidents have surfaced wherein the innocent immigration aspirants are duped by the unscrupulous consultants. Furthermore, they are not even registered with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants and are not in good standing. These consultants cheat gullible people by making them pay for non-existent visas.
Thus, this new legislation would act as a savior for all the immigration aspirants and would also help in safeguarding the image of Canada as an immigration destination country.
Confirming the news, Canadian Immigration Minister, Jason Kenney, said that crooked consultants pose a costly threat not just to the victims, but also to the integrity and fairness of the immigration system of Canada.
Applauding the introduction of the new legislation, Col BS Sandhu, CMD, WWICS Group said that the integrity of the certified and the authorized immigration consultants would not be questioned as now stringent action would be taken against the fake immigration consultants, who tarnish the dignity of the entire immigration industry.
He added that WWICS has always adhered to the immigration rules and with transparency and commitment to truth, it has emerged as a respected name in the field.
