Business Services to Management NOC of 29 POL Capped in 55 Days!
Posted on : 23 August, 2011
On August 22, 2011, the NOC 1122- Professional Occupations in Business Services to
Management under the Federal Skilled Worker category- 29 Priority Occupation
List was capped in as many as 55 days.
On July 1, 2011, Citizenship and Immigration Canada announced a revision in the
applications intake of the Priority Occupations. The number of new Federal Skilled
Worker applications to be considered for processing was limited /reduced to 10,000
from 20,000 a year.
Further, a maximum of 500 new applications in each of the prevalent/ current 29
priority occupations is being considered, within the 10,000 limit, unlike a sub-cap
of 1,000 under each occupation.
Thus, the capping of the Management occupation of 500 applications in a short span
of 55 days is an indication of the phenomenal response, which Canada receives from
Skilled Workers & Professionals.
In the wake of the development, Col BS Sandhu (Retd.), CMD, WWICS Group said, “Canada has always been a favored immigration destination and the capping re-affirms the same.”
He said that the Federal Skilled Worker category- 29 Priority Occupation List is a very popular fast-track immigration program and all the Skilled Workers & Professionals, who fall under the Priority Occupations should apply at the earliest, as CIC is receiving applications on a daily basis.
