700 Applications filed in 18 days under Federal Immigrant Investor Program

In a short span of 18 days, 700 applications were filed under Canada’s Federal Immigrant Investor program. On July 1, 2011, new immigration requirements including capping limits were announced by Citizenship & Immigration Canada for Federal Skilled Worker category and Federal Immigrant Investor Program.

Giving the information Lt Col BS Sandhu (Retd.), CMD, WorldWide Immigration Consultancy Services (WWICS), said Canada has always maintained the edge as an attractive immigration & business investment destination and this status has been re-affirmed yet again with Canada’s Federal Immigrant Investor program receiving an overwhelming response.

It was on July 1, 2011, new immigration capping limits were announced by Citizenship & Immigration Canada for Federal Skilled Worker Category and Federal Immigrant Investor Program. However, in a short span of 18 days, the cap of 700 applications intake was reached under the Federal Immigrant Investor Program, despite the investment levels and net worth being as high as C$800,000 & C$1,600,000 respectively.

In the wake of the development, he said, “The capping of Federal Immigrant Investor Program in such a short span yet again confirms that Canada is a top notch immigration destination with thousands of aspirants aspiring to settle there.”

Highlighting other business programs, Lt. Col Sandhu said, “Business people can still immigrate to Canada and USA under other programs like Quebec Immigrant Investor Program, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program- Business Stream and US EB5 visa. Under all these programs an applicant can diversify and expand their business and get settled in Canada and USA."

All the aspiring Business people should consider these programs to gain Canadian PR and US Green Card, as these programs involve affordable investment and other criteria are also relaxed.
