Australian States Need Chefs and Cooks in High Numbers
Posted on:27 October 2011
In the wake of the acute shortage of Chefs and Cooks in several Australian states,
the Australian states have decided to sponsor skilled people in these professions
under the various State Sponsored Skilled Migration programs.
Thus, the immigration aspirants, who are skilled in the culinary arts and have the
relevant experience, have the opportunity to apply under the various programs and
reach Australia in a span 8-12 months.
All the Professionals who qualify under the Chefs and Cooks professions requirements
can obtain a work and residence visa under the General Skilled Migration program,
in particular through a State Sponsored Skilled Migration route.
Lt. Col. BS Sandhu (Retd.), CMD, WWICS Group, emphasizes that all the immigration
aspirants qualifying under the General Skilled Program, who fall in the Chefs and
Cooks category should act fast and apply under the relevant program as they have
a chance to reach Australia on fast Track and subsequently even apply for Permanent
Residency.
The immigration aspirants are assessed on points based on various factors like age,
educational qualifications, etc. This is a ‘Fast Track’ way to apply for an Australian
visa and gives all skilled chefs and cooks an opportunity to realize their immigration
dream to the Kangaroo Land.
