Canada Gears-up to Welcome 10,000 more Skilled Workers in the Next Year

Canada will welcome a whopping 10,000 more Skilled Workers & Professionals under the Federal Skilled Workers program in the next year.

As per the recent info, a higher proportion of Skilled Workers & Professionals will be allowed into Canada through the Federal Skilled Workers program in the next year. visa.

According to the figures, between 47,000 and 47,400 immigrants are being let into Canada under the Federal Skilled Workers program this year, whilst it is predicted that 55,000-57,000 professionals will be let into Canada in 2012.

Recent research by the Federal government indicates a success with 95% of the employers being satisfied with the Federal Skilled Workers admitted under the program up till now, thus highlighting the popularity of the Federal Skilled Workers program.

Canada government is of the view that the additional number of skilled workers will meet the market demands and also help deal with the backlog of applicants from previous years.

"The government’s number one priority remains the economy. We recognize the importance of immigration to our labour market and we value the contributions of skilled immigrants who add to our international competitiveness," said Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney. "We are committed to facilitating the arrival of the best and the brightest to our country."

Kenney suggests skilled workers are the future of immigration for Canada.

"This is a positive news for all the Skilled Workers & Professionals, as the coming year will help more eligible applicants to immigrate to Canada. Canada is one of the preferred destinations, and in the wake of this positive change, Professionals & Skilled Workers aspiring to immigrate to Canada, who fall under the occupations listed in 29 POL must use this opportunity to their benefit", said the CMD of WWICS Group, Lt. Col. Sandhu (Retd.).
