Hurry! Lock Your Case Today under other NOCs
Posted on:10 October, 2011

The Federal Skilled Worker category- 29 Priority Occupation List is an extremely popular fast-track immigration program for Canada and all the Skilled Workers & Professionals, aspiring to immigrate to Canada should apply under this program.

As per the applications intakes, on September 20, 2011, NOC 3152 Registered Nurses was capped. This is the second capping under the 29 POL list after the NOC 1122- Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management.

On July 1, 2011, Citizenship and Immigration Canada announced a revision in the applications intake of the Priority Occupations. The number of new Federal Skilled Worker applications to be considered for processing was limited /reduced to 10,000 from 20,000 a year.

Further, a maximum of 500 new applications in each of the prevalent/ current 29 priority occupations is being considered, within the 10,000 limit, unlike a sub-cap of 1,000 under each occupation.

As per the update, CIC is receiving applications for all the occupations on a daily basis, thus all the aspirants who fall under the list of occupations should apply fast and file an application.

Though, two NOCs have been capped, there are other occupations like Pharmacists, Restaurant and Food Service Managers, Biologists and Related Scientists Architects, Dentists, Physiotherapists and many more, wherein the cap of 500 applications is still not reached.

Lt. Col. B S Sandhu (Retd.) said, “Keeping in mind the popularity of the Federal Skilled Worker category- 29 Priority Occupation List, it is advisable that the immigration aspirants qualifying under this program should be prompt and lock their cases promptly as the applications intake for each of the NOCs is being filled at a rapid pace."

He added that Canada has always been a favored immigration destination and the capping of the NOCs at a rapid pace re-affirms the same.
