India, Australia Plan to Roll Out New Credit Mobility System

As per the latest reports, India and Australia are all set to initiate a new credit
mobility system to ensure better mobility between the students of the two countries.
Under the proposed credit mobility system, a student in an Indian university or
a college will be able to undertake part of the education in an Australian university
and vice-versa for the Australian students.
The possibility of sharing of students in an area of vocational education is also
being explored by both the nations.
In the wake of the discussions, HED minister, Kapil Sibal said that the modalities
needed to be worked on the new credit mobility system.
“The new credit mobility system is an encouraging step and the students aspiring
to study overseas would benefit manifold with the same”, said, Col BS Sandhu (Retd.),
CMD, WWICS Group.
He added that this initiative would not only strengthen the ties between the two
nations, but would also promote quality education and international exposure for
the students of India & Australia.
