Australia Wins Back Indian Students

Australia gains Indian students back as in the first six months of 2011, a rise
of 21 percent has been witnessed in the student visa applications from India, confirmed
the Australian Department of Immigration & Citizenship.
The Australian colleges and universities are rejoicing the significant resurgence
in the number of applications from more and more Indian students.
Confirming the rise, Speldewinde, Assistant Secretary in the Department of Immigration
and Citizenship, said, “The number of student visa applications is rebounding, that
category is up significantly."
Over the last few years the Australian government has been actively promoting immigration
to Australia for Indian professionals, especially the Skilled Workers & Students.
"People are generally positive about Australia, "said Lt. Col. BS Sandhu, CMD, WWICS
Group. He added that the relaxed rules under the student visa and the introduction
of the new SOL 1 & 2 for Skilled Workers & Professionals entice the immigrants to
make Australia their home.
