To be selected in the Quebec Immigration Programs for Business,
one must satisfy the prerequisites of one of the three Business Immigration programs
established by the Quebec Government. The three categories under which a business
person can immigrate to Quebec are:
• Quebec Investor Program: If
you are interested in coming to Québec and participating in its economic development
by making an investment, Quebec Investor Program would be the right option for you.
To qualify as an investor, an individual must have a net worth of at least CAD$1,600,000,
have managerial experience and be willing to make a secured investment of CAD$800,000
for a period of 5 years. Investment of CAD$ 800000 is refundable after 5 years
without interest. However, investment can be made at lower amount with an agreement
with financial intermediatery in Canada i.e. CAD$ 220000 and balance by bank. It
is non refundable.
Note:
Effective March 20, 2012 till March 31, 2013, the maximum number of new INVESTOR
applications intake under the Quebec Business Investor Program has been fixed at
2700.
• Quebec Entrepreneur Program:
If you plan to settle in the Province of Québec and intend to establish or acquire
a business, WWICS can help you get Permanent Residency under Quebec Entrepreneur
Program.
This program seeks to attract experienced business persons, who would own and actively
manage businesses in Canada, which will contribute to the Canadian economy and create
jobs there. They must have a net worth of legally acquired CDN$ 3,00,000 (including
spousal assets). It is however advisable to have it CDN$ 500000.

/ Self-employed program. Effective March 20, 2012, till March 31, 2013, the intake
applications cap on new applications has been fixed at 215.
• Quebec Self-employed Program:
Do you wish to come to Québec to create your own employment by practicing a profession
or trade on your own? You can qualify as a Self-Employed person, provided you have
a net worth of at least CAD$ 100,000, and must have work experience in the profession
or trade that they intend to practice in Quebec.
