United Kingdom Immigration
United Kingdom has always been the fantasy world for immigrants across the world.
United Kingdom has so much to offer to the immigrants, as in the last few years
UK has introduced a number of new visa categories like;naturalization, visa, work
permit and UK working visa.
The UK Border Agency introduced Highly Skilled Migrant Program,in
January 2002.The points based skilled immigration category proved to be very successful
for the country’s economy.
However, the HSMP has now been replaced by Tier 1 (General),part of the UK's new
five-tier points based system under which all routes into the country like; work,
study, and training immigration will be enveloped.
Tier 1 (General) For highly skilled migrants,
entrepreneurs, investors, and graduate students. This replaced the previous Highly
Skilled Migrant Program (HSMP), the Entrepreneur and Investor schemes, and the International
Graduates Scheme.
Study Visa : Career planning certainly requires
an expert's guidance in terms of gaining insight into the educational opportunities
available in India as well as abroad. Acquaintance with the pre-requisites of admission
and other formalities involved', is equally important.
Work Permit : Work Permit applications are dealt
with by Work Permits (UK), part of the Home Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate.
Work Permit Application procedures are different depending upon situation. An individual
already on work permit to UK changes an employer and work then he would have to
apply a new work permit application to work permits UK.(*This section is applicable only for WWICS Overseas Branches/Outside India)
Visitor Visa : A UK visitor visa allows a person
to visit UK and study there for up to six months. It also covers people coming to
the UK for medical treatment and those passing through the UK. This visa is for
an individual wishing to travel for a period of up to six months to the United Kingdom.
