Ontario province of Canada is at its top speed these days when it comes to sending invitations. Just recently, the Express Entry-linked Skilled Trades and French-Speaking Skilled Worker streams were used by Ontario to issue more invitations.
The latest round of invitation was conducted on May 23rd and 24th and a total of 64 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) were issued to candidates in Express Entry system who were found eligible.
Ontario is following a trend in the recent past, that is, draws are been conducted in these two streams every week. This weekly rounds have been observed since the second week of April.
According to Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), the Skilled Trades Stream issued invitations to 30 Express Entry candidates and these people had submitted their profile between January 1st and May 23rd, 2018.
Next comes that French-Speaking Skilled Worker Streams which issued invitation to 34 Express Entry candidates and these people had submitted their profile between January 1st and May 24th, 2018.
What makes these two streams special is the fact that there is no requirement for minimum score in Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) in order to be considered. Once a candidate gets the nomination they earn an additional of 600 points which considerably improve their ranking in Express Entry system.
The Skilled Trades Stream from Ontario has now issued a total of 727 NOIs since the start of 2018. The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream has issued invitations to 502 Express Entry candidates in this year.
Human Capital Priorities Stream is another Express Entry Linked stream from Ontario and it has issued a total of 2,587 NOIs in 2018.
There must be numerous candidates who might be expecting invitation from OINP, and they have a good chance as Ontario will continue to issue invitations to candidates in the Federal Express Entry pool on a regular basis.
All the skilled trades people who want to immigrate to Canada can find the Stream Trades Stream from Ontario very beneficial. This stream is designed specifically for them. In case they have a valid profile in the Express Entry system, are eligible in the Canadian Experience Class and have obtained work experience in an eligible skilled trade, they can be picked up by Ontario for nomination.
French-Speaking Express Entry candidates are being targeted by French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. This stream was launched by Ontario in 2015. Such candidates either have to qualify in the Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Worker Class and have sufficient English language abilities (CLB 6 or higher).
45 days – is the time period given to invited Express Entry candidates to submit the online application to the OINP. These days are counted from the date NOI is issued.
