New Zealand has one of the highest literacy rates in the world. (A sport is a past time of New Zealanders). Every child can play some type of world-recognised sport for free.
Childcare
New Zealand has many Childcare options, such as childcare centres, crèches, home-based care and family day care or nannies, if you have children who need to be looked after, while you are at work.
Childcare centres for young children offer full day or session care i.e. up to four hours a day and are open for up to eight or nine hours. Childcare centres will charge a weekly or daily fee, and an hourly fee for casual care. Childcare centres are licensed to take either under two-year-olds or over two-year-olds.
