The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program Reopened from May 29th, 2017

The province of Quebec has announced that it has reopened its popular immigrant investor program to accept new applications. A maximum of 1900 applications will be accepted as the program opened from May 29th, 2017 till February 23rd, 2018. It is expected that the intake cap will be reached soon, so be the early bird and catch the worm.

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) is a famous immigration program from Canada that enables an aspiring immigrant to become permanent resident of Canada by making a risk-free investment of CAD $800,000.

The QIIP is one of the most famous investor immigration programs across the globe and is the only passive investor immigration program. This program provides a number of benefits over other investor immigration program available in Canada.

For instance, there is no conditional or probationary stage, and an applicant is able to obtain Canadian permanent residency visa provided the application is submitted in the right manner. The QIIP investor immigration program is a lot different from the EB-5 immigration program run by United States.

In the latter program an applicant has to show that a minimum of 10 jobs have been created in the last two years. There is no such requirement in the QIIP.

Second important point is that, the investment of CAD $800,000 is made an approved financial intermediary. This investment can be either arranged through a financial intermediary or can be paid by the applicant. There is an assurance that the investment will be returned in full after the completion of five years from a government of Quebec entity.
