CRS Cut-off score drops two points to 452
Express Entry Draw #113: 20th March, 2019
The Government of Canada invited 3,350 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a draw held on March 20.
The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this Express Entry draw was 452, a drop of two points over the minimum score in the previous invitation round held on March 6.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has now issued a total of 21,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Express Entry candidates in 2019, which is an increase of 6,700 over the 14,500 ITAs that the country had issued at this same point in 2018.
IRCC applied a tie-break in the March 20 draw. The time stamp was set at February 7, 2019, at 9:59:25 UTC. Therefore, all candidates with a CRS score of 452 or above who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time received an ITA in this draw.
The cut-off CRS score has now reduced twice over the last two invitation rounds, which may have resulted from the fact IRCC just allowed two weeks to elapse between draws in both instances.
