Express Entry 17th April 2019

April 17th Express Entry draw issues 3,350 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates with a minimum CRS Score of 451

Express Entry Draw #115: 17th April, 2019

Canada has invited 3,350 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a new draw held on April 17. The cut-off score in this invitation round was 451.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has now issued a total of 27,900 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Express Entry candidates in 2019.

IRCC used its tie-break rule in the April 17, with the time and date set at 15:01:49 UTC on April 2, 2019. This means that all candidates with a CRS score of and above 451, who have entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an invitation in this invitation round.

The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main federal economic immigration programs — Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Eligible candidates are entered into the Express Entry pool and assigned a ranking score based on various factors including age, education, work experience and language proficiency in English or French. The highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular draws from the Express Entry pool.

Express Entry candidates nominated for Canadian permanent residence by a Canadian province or territory through an Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream receive an additional 600 points toward their ranking score, effectively guaranteeing an ITA in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

Invited candidates have 60 days to submit their complete Canadian permanent residence application to the Government of Canada.
