Express Entry Draw #130:   13-November-2019

CRS scores decreases three-points to 472 in November 13 draw

Canada issued 3600 new invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residence to Express Entry candidates in a new draw held on Wednesday, November 13.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold in this draw was 472 points – a reduction of three points than the previous invitation round that was held on October 30 and had a cut-off score of 475.

The Express Entry system is Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers, which manages the applications under Canada’s three Federal High Skilled economic-class immigration categories —the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

Eligible candidates enter the Express Entry pool and are issued a CRS score based on their age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French, among other factors.

The highest-ranked candidates are then invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence during regular draws from the pool, which usually take place every two weeks.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie break rule in the November 13 draw and the time stamp used was October 8, 2019, at 10:46:01 UTC. This means that all candidates with CRS scores of 472 and above, who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time received an ITA in this invitation round.

The 3,600 ITAs issued in November 13 draw have brought the total number of invitations issued to Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent Residence in 2019 to 75,300.

As of November 8, there were a total of 132,521 candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Express Entry candidates with low CRS scores can increase their points through a variety of options and the most valuable of which is to obtain a provincial nomination, which award them additional 600 points toward their CRS scores and increase their chances to get an ITA for Canadian permanent residence in subsequent Express Entry draw.

The candidates, who received invitations in the November 13 draw, need to submit their complete application for Canadian permanent residence to IRCC within 60 days.
