Express Entry Draw #120: 26 June, 2019
Cut-off score decreases by three points to 462
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,350 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a new Express Entry draw held on June 26.
The cut-off score in this invitation round was 462, which is three points lower than the previous draw held on June 12.
June 26 invitation round marks the second consecutive Express Entry draw to see the reduction in cut-off score since May 29, when it reached 470.The lower cut-off scores in the last two draws might be attributed to the fact that IRCC returned to this two-week period between draws.
As more time elapses between draws, the Express Entry pool has additional time to replenish with higher-scoring candidates, which can put a direct impact on the cut-off score.
The tie break used by IRCC in the June 26 draw was May 11, 2019, at 17:40:54 UTC, which means that all applicants with or above a CRS score of 462, who had entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA in this invitation round.
June 26th draw brings the total number of invitations to apply (ITAs) issued in 2019 to 41,800 and puts the current year 2,100 ITAs ahead of IRCC’s 2018 pace.
