Manitoba Draw

Manitoba conducted its 1st PNP draw of 2020; Invited 186 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination (WWICS: 08202001Ga1314)

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted its first Expression of interest (EOI) draw on 2 January 2020 where in the province has issued 183 invitations to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence to the candidates under its three key streams – Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and the International Education stream.

The invitations, also called Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were distributed as follows:

SKILLED WORKERS IN MANITOBA

Number of LAAs issued: 122

Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 534

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION STREAM

Number of LAAs issued: 22

SKILLED WORKERS OVERSEAS

Number of LAAs issued: 42 who were invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative

Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 708

Out of the total 186 LAAs issued in this invitation round, 24 went to candidates with a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.

The MPNP allows the province to nominate foreign workers and international graduates of its post-secondary institutions for Canadian permanent residence.

MPNP had an incredible run last year, when it issued more than seven thousands invitations under different streams.
