Manitoba immigration issued a total of 249 invites to skilled workers, international student graduates and Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in a draw conducted on January 17.
The invitations were issued through the province’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
Draw #81 – January 17, 2020
The invitations, which are commonly known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were distributed among the three immigration streams:
SKILLED WORKERS IN MANITOBA
- Number of LAAs issued: 192
- Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 545
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION STREAM
- Number of LAAs issued: 23
SKILLED WORKERS OVERSEAS
- Number of LAAs issued: 34 who were invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative
- Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 708
Out of the total 249 LAAs issued in this draw, 22 went to Express Entry candidates with a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.
This is Manitoba’s second EOI draw this month, which takes the total number of invitations to apply for provincial nominations issued by MPNP so far this year to 435.
Candidates who received invites in January 17 draw, now have 60 days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to MPNP.
