29 Express Entry candidates among those who received an invitation
Manitoba invited 173 skilled worker candidates under Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education streams to apply for a nomination for Canadian permanent residence in a new draw held July 18.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), which allows the province to nominate economic-class immigration candidates for Canadian permanent residence, has now issued a total of 5,506 invitations to skilled worker immigration candidates so far in 2019.
A total of 110 invitations, known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were issued to candidates under Skilled Workers in Manitoba category while another 23 invitations went to candidates under International Education stream.
The MPNP also sent invitations to 40 Skilled Workers Overseas candidates in the July 18 draw directly under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
A total of 29 invitations issued to candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system – Canada’s principal source of high-skilled foreign talent.
The minimum score required for an invitation in Manitoba’s July 18 invitation round was:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 539
- Skilled Workers Overseas: Strategic Recruitment Initiative candidates: 718
