Manitoba targeted 230 skilled foreign workers and international student graduates in latest PNP draw on November 21 (WWICS: 25201911Ga1217)

The province of Manitoba conducted its 77th Expression of Interest (EOI) draw on 21 November 2019.

A total of 230 new candidates in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)’s Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education immigration streams received invites to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in November 21st invitation round.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allows Manitoba to nominate eligible foreign nationals and international graduates of its post-secondary institutions for Canadian permanent residence through its three popular immigration pathways – Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education Stream.

In order to be eligible for immigration to Manitoba under one of these categories, candidates need to first create an EOI profile.

These EOI profiles are then given a score out of 1,000 based on various factors such as education, work experience, connections to Manitoba and proficiency in English or French, among other factors.

The MPNP issues Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) to the highest-scoring candidates from the pool through regular draws.

LAAs issued and points requirement details for each category of MPNP in the November 21 draw:

SKILLED WORKERS IN MANITOBA

  • Number of LAAs issued: 185
  • Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 504

SKILLED WORKERS OVERSEAS

  • Number of LAAs issued: 16 who were invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative
  • Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 739

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION STREAM

  • Number of LAAs issued: 29

Out of the total 230 Letters of LAAs issued in this draw, 20 went to candidates with a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.

Invited candidates now have 60 days to submit their complete application for provincial nomination to MPNP.
