The Government of Nova Scotia issued new invitations to apply for a nomination for permanent residence to Express Entry candidates with work experience as financial auditors or accountants through the province’s Labour Market Priorities Stream, in a new provincial draw that took place on January 24, 2019.
The Labour Market Priorities Stream, which allows Nova Scotia’s Office of Immigration to search the federal Express Entry pool for eligible candidates with work experience in specified occupations, targeted candidates with scores ranging from 400 to 450 in latest invitation round.
The candidates invited in the stream’s first draw of 2019, had an Express Entry ranking score from 400 and 450 and had their Express Entry profiles submitted on or after July 1, 2018. They were also required to have a minimum five years of work experience in National Occupational Classification (NOC) 1111 — Financial Auditors and Accountants, among other criteria.
Candidates who are invited for a provincial nomination under this stream will get an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score guaranteeing them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a future Express Entry draw.
To be considered for immigration through the Labour Market Priorities Stream as well as other Express Entry-aligned provincial nominee streams, applicants are required to first submit an Express Entry profile.
