Express Entry candidates among those who received invitations in the latest draw
Manitoba invited 157 skilled foreign workers and international students to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in a new draw held on October 24.
The invitations went to candidates in three of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)’s immigration streams – Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is part of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program that allows the province to nominate foreign workers and international graduates of its post-secondary institutions for Canadian permanent residence.
The invitations, which are commonly known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were distributed among the three immigration streams:
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba: 117
- Skilled Worker Overseas: 24
- International Education Stream: 16
Of the 157 LAAs issued, a total of 12 went to candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
The minimum score required for an LAA in this invitation round was:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 567
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 685
The October 24th invitation round brings the total number of LAAs issued by MPNP to skilled worker immigration candidates so far this year to 6,731.
