The Quebec immigration has temporarily suspended its highly successful the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) until July 2020.
The program is not accepting new permanent selection applications between November 1, 2019, and July, 1, 2020. However, the suspension does not affect applications submitted prior to November 1st.
Introduced in 1986, the popular Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) offers qualified high net worth individuals and families worldwide the opportunity to immigrate & settle in the Canadian Province of Quebec.
Eligibility for the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program is determined by a person’s ability and willingness to invest & settle in the Canadian province of Quebec.
To participate in the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program, individuals (and their spouse, if applicable) must have net assets of at least CAD$2,000,000 and must make a five-year term investment of CAD$1,200,000 with the organization.
The program also requires applicants to have at least two years of management experience (that must include duties related to the planning, management and control of financial, human or material resources) in the five years preceding the application for selection.
Applicants also have to sign an investment agreement with one of Quebec’s participating financial intermediaries (brokers or trust companies).
Candidates for the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program are awarded points based on six factors including their age, education, language skills etc. under the Quebec Economic Class selection grid for the program.
Overall, the suspension of Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) gives prospective candidates, who intend to submit new applications, sufficient time to prepare their Quebec Investor applications for submission when a new intake period opens.
