Saskatchewan invites 381 Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates in latest Expression of Interest draws (WWICS: 26201907Ga1309)

Minimum cut-off scores rise to six points

Saskatchewan issues 381 invitations to Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates in the latest Expression of Interest draws held on July 24th.

A total of 104 invitations went to candidates with an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile in the province’s Express Entry sub-category, while another 277 to those with an EOI profile in the Occupation In-Demand sub-category.

The minimum cut-off scores in the July 24 draws for both sub-categories rose by six points over the previous draw held just over a month ago on June 20, from 68 to 74.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, or SINP, allows the province to nominate qualified foreign workers for Canadian permanent residence through several categories tailored to province’s various economic and labour market needs and assesses the eligibility of skilled workers for these two immigration sub-categories on a points basis.

In order to qualify, candidates must score at least 60 points for factors such as education, work experience and proficiency in English or French, among others. They are also required to have work experience in one of 19 occupations listed as in-demand in Saskatchewan.
